IDMAIL
How IDMAIL Protects Your E-Mail and Data:
Today’s email is not secure and on average gets bounced 10 or more times between different mail servers on the internet. It’s widely known that at any point during this transmission, a particular email can be altered in any way from a relay station along the destination. Moreover, there is no real way to establish the true identity of the sender or receiver.
IDMAIL allows for the first time, secure and easy to use S/MIME e-mail based on the extensive EchoSystem PKI platform. PKI-based e-mail has long been considered the most secure way to encrypt and digitally sign e-mails. However, the complexity of PKI deployment and management has diminished its use to the point where it is typically employed only by large organizations or governments. As well users’ certificates and private keys are classically protected by weak username/password combinations, negating the strength of PKI itself.
IDMAIL and EchoSystem introduce hassle-free PKI-based e-mail with certificates and private keys protected by the strength of Identita’s powered card platform. By using two-factor and/or biometric powered cards we achieve true mobility and security in email platforms today.
